Three ways to get your people side in order.

Start by finding out where you stand. Build what’s missing. Keep it running. Every project has a clear scope and a price you know before we begin.

The In Order Assessment

$1,500, fixed

A three-week review of how your company handles the people side. You get a one-page scorecard, a plan for the next 90 days, and a conversation about what it all means. Most clients start here.

How the assessment works

Get in order

Foundation Build

Starts at $4,500

The HR basics a growing company needs, written for your business and ready to use in eight to ten weeks:

  • An employee handbook and core policies
  • Hiring basics: job descriptions, an interview guide, and an offer letter
  • Onboarding and offboarding checklists
  • A simple performance check-in process
  • A standard for employee files and records
  • A quick guide and a walkthrough for your managers

Focused projects

From $2,500

For when you have one specific gap.

Hiring System

A hiring process your managers can repeat: scorecards for each role, job descriptions, interview guides, and an offer template.

Manager Essentials

Three live sessions that teach your managers how to give feedback, keep good notes, and handle hard conversations.

Performance System

Reviews and check-ins that fit your company, with the templates and training to make them stick.

HR Software Selection

I learn what you need, narrow the options to three, sit in on the demos, and recommend the system that fits your size and budget. Setup and training are available once you choose.

AI at Work Policy

Clear rules for how your team uses AI tools, including what must never go into them.

Something else?

If it’s a people problem getting in the way of running your business, tell me about it. I’ll tell you honestly whether I can take it on, and if I can’t, who can.

HR On Call

$275 a session, or $800 for five hours

An hour with an experienced HR professional before you make a decision you can’t take back. Book a session, tell me what’s happening, and leave with a written summary of what to do next.

Ongoing Partnership

From $1,500 a month

A set number of hours each month to keep your policies current, support your managers, and think through whatever comes up. This is for companies I’ve already built with, because by then I know your business.

What I don’t do

I’d rather tell you now than surprise you later.

  • PayrollYour payroll provider or accountant handles that.
  • Legal adviceI’ll tell you when a situation needs an employment attorney.
  • Recruiting searchesI build your hiring process. I don’t source or screen candidates.
  • Benefits enrollmentI can point you to brokers I trust.

I’m based in Raleigh and work with businesses in North Carolina and beyond.

Questions owners ask

How do I know if I need this?

If you have more than about ten employees and no one whose job is HR, something is probably being missed. The assessment exists to tell you what, and how much it matters.

How is this different from HR software or a PEO?

Software gives you templates and a system. A PEO runs payroll and benefits for you. Neither one sits down with your managers or writes policies around how your business works. Many of my clients keep their software or PEO and bring me in for the parts those don’t cover.

What is fractional HR?

It means having an experienced HR person for part of the time, at part of the cost. Instead of hiring someone full-time, you get a set number of hours each month.

What does it cost?

The assessment is $1,500. A Foundation Build starts at $4,500. Focused projects start at $2,500. A single HR On Call session is $275. You’ll have a written scope and a fixed price before any work begins.

Do we have to sign a long contract?

No. Projects end when the work is delivered. Ongoing Partnerships have a three-month minimum and then run month to month.

We have an urgent employee situation. Can you help now?

Book an HR On Call session. I can usually talk within two business days. If the situation involves a legal claim or a threat of one, call an employment attorney first.

Are you an attorney?

No. I give HR guidance based on experience and on what the law requires of employers. I don’t give legal advice, and I’ll tell you when you need a lawyer.

Do you help with hiring?

I build the process: what to look for, how to interview, how to make an offer. Your managers make the hiring decisions, and I don’t run searches or screen candidates.

When are you available?

I keep a short client list and hold calls at set times each week, including early mornings and evenings. You’ll always know when we’re meeting next, and I reply to email within one business day.

Do you work with companies outside North Carolina?

Yes. I’m based in Raleigh and work with businesses in North Carolina and beyond. If your employees are spread across several states, mention it when you get in touch and we’ll talk through whether I’m the right fit.

Not sure which one fits?

Tell me what’s going on. The first conversation is free, and I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right person to help.
